Akho Yhokha

Book released of Dr. Akho Yhokha was born and raised in Kigwema Village, Nagaland, India,


His cathy education was done at Kolima, (Nagaland), lachelors degree (B.Sc.) from Cotton College. Gauhati University (1975) and M.Sc. (Dairying) from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, Haryana (1978). He did a course on Radio Isotope Technisque from University of Technology, Loughborough, Leicestershire, U.K (1982). Conferred with a Ph.D. from the School of Agriculture, Nottingham University, U.K. (1987).


A dairyman by profession, he pioneered the first Milk Processing Plant in Nagaland - Dimapur Central Dairy, commonly known as Komul, subsequently changed to Dimul, after Dimapur was bifurcated from Kohima District. He was also instrumental in setting up Capital Dairy, under the brand Milkcon at Kohima. In recognition of the contributions made towards creating 'milk culture in the State, he was awarded, Governor's Commendation Certificate in 2002.


He presently resides at Kipfuzha Sector, Kigwema with his wife, Adono and children.
