 ‘My Bamboo Story’ was officially opened on November 24 in Kohima. The store was launched with an aim to facilitate bamboo farmers across Nagaland to showcase and sell their bamboo products. 
It was inaugurated by Alem Longkumer, Deputy Team Leader of Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA). In his address, Alem asserted bamboo has always been a story associated with the Nagas. He said ‘we’ grew up eating in bamboo plates, cups and spoons, and bamboo has always been a part of our everyday lives. NBDA team was represented by Kichung, Kevin, Lipungsa and Imkong. Jonathan Mesen invoked God’s blessing.
‘My Bamboo Story’ will be run by Lezo and Vizo Putsure. The owners thanked the Team Leader Khrienuo Metha and the NBDA team for their assistance in launching the initiative. They also mentioned and recalled late Norman Putsure, who was the Team Leader of NBDA.
‘My Bamboo Story’ envisages not only display the creative skills of local craftsmen, but also to promote the value of bamboo as a means of economic sustenance. All products are made in Nagaland. MBS has tied up with local online site ilando.com for digital presence. 
The interiors have been done by Vizo Putsure who runs Green Gold Designs, a local based interior designing company that focuses on using bamboo to create a lifestyle.
