Exotic Delight is a homegrown food processing unit started in June 2015, run by a 54 year old homemaker, Wapangienla, where she makes mix fruit pickles, chilli pickles, processed meat pickles, processed dry fruits and vegetables which are garden fresh and locally grown in Nagaland.
The processing unit is based in Bank Colony, Dimapur, Nagaland, with 2 of her helpers employed to help in processing the pickles, veggies and the fruits. It has developed to a nominal standard working environment with very low scale end production output, which helps in focusing on quality selection of veggies, fruits and meat to make its end product.
The products are sold in various markets across the city and hosted by different shop owners across the state in its limited yet quality product. It is also sold online on ilandlo.com and is able to reach wider range of markets in the metro cities of the country. The Unit is also registered under the Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006. bearing FSSAI Registeration no. 21915009001023.
The Unit is growing along with its product range, which is able to cater all kind of veggies made available for students, working youths and families living outside of Northeast and loves the food and authentic quality of the region. Since the Northeastern region is mostly not polluted by use of pesticides ad urea in farming, most of the fruits and vegetables are chemical free, which makes its a high demand on the National markets.
