About the Author:

H.L Ahuja has received his M.A Degree in Economics with distinction from Punjab University, Chandigarh in 1961. In the same year, he won McConnel-Levin Prize from Punjab University in his paper "Investment Criteria in Development Planning". He was awarded Ph.D by Delhi University in 1982 for his thesis on 'Development Strategy in a Labour Surplus Economy with Special Reference to India"

An eminent professor, he has taught Advanced Economic Theory(both micro and macro), Development Economics and Problems of Indian Economy to postgraduate students for 3 years in Kurukshetra University. In 1966, he joined Zakir Husaun Delhi College, Delhi University, where he taught Micro and Macro Economic Theories, Development Policy and Indian Economy to the students of Economics Honours. He was a member of Academic Council of Delhi University for 5 years. A prolific writer, Dr Ahuja has more than a dozen books in his credit.
