Geology , the science of the Earth, is simply fascinating . It contributed not only to the advancement of knowledge but also the development of natural resources and consequent economic upliftment of any country. In this work an attempt has been made to present the subject with all its diverse branches, in a single volume of reasonable size with a view to assisting the beginners in having a cosy entry into the realm of the vast science of the earth.
