The inspiration for this book came when the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR), with support of the Naga Tribe Hohos, made its announcement, in November 2017, to observe January 10, starting in 2018, as Naga Day, to commemorate and remember the submission of the Naga Memorandum to the Indian Statutory Commission or the Simon Commission in 1929. So, not surprisingly, this work has been carried our in a hurry. But with the cooperation and collaboration of so many people, particularly the descendants of the signatories, this has been made possible.
