Blueberry green tea by Sunika Green Tea

Growing up we had a lot of Tea Gardens in our village and I was always

intrigued by the process, from cultivation to our cup. I was lucky enough to

develop my interest as I got the opportunity to work in a well-established Tea

Import and Export Company at Kolkata. After working there for about 3 years as

Quality Control Supervisor and Tea Blending and Tasting Executive, the

experience I gathered led me to foresee, the immense unexplored, opportunity

and market for Tea in Nagaland. Limited in support, infrastructure, capital but

with a big dream I started a venture for Herbal and Flavoured Tea in 2021 with

the branding “Sünika” which literally translates to tree leaves in our local Sumi

dialect.

The Dream and what I foresaw has been to bring Nagaland Tea in Worlds Map,

bring opportunities to our farmers, offer them the rightful price, create

employment for our local residents spread the tea culture and its expertise field.
